Coach Brandon Williams arrives at Mandarin High School to lead the Mustangs ‘girls’ cross-country program after building winning teams at both Bishop Kenny and St. Brendan High Schools. A former NCAA Division II distance runner at Florida Southern College, he pairs firsthand racing experience with USATF Level 1 and Level 2 Endurance certifications.
Coach Williams is committed to fostering a supportive, competitive environment where Mandarin’s girls can excel on the course and grow as teammates and leaders.
Coach Natalia Gonzalez enters her 24th season at the helm of the Mandarin High School softball program. Over the course of her tenure, she has led the Mustangs to an impressive 423-162 record, securing 12 District Championships, 10 Gateway Conference titles, and two State Final Four appearances. Her dedication and leadership have earned her several prestigious honors, including Florida Dairy Farmers 6A Coach of the Year in 2008, the Mike Houser Excellence in Coaching Award, and recognition as Mandarin High School’s Teacher of the Year in 2015. A proud alumna of the University of North Florida, Gonzalez played centerfield for the Lady Ospreys before beginning her career in education and coaching. In addition to her coaching duties, she currently serves as the Lead Physical Education Teacher and Assistant Athletic Director at Mandarin High.
Coach Tony is entering his 7th season at the helm of the Girls Soccer Program at Mandarin High School. He has coached at the varsity and club level locally and in Indiana for 14 years. Tony is a graduate of the University of North Florida where he received his Bachelors of Science in Sport Management. He has served as a staff coach and Director of Coaching for Florida Elite Soccer Academy, currently holding his USSF D and NSCAA National Coaching licenses. Tony resides in Mandarin with his wife Jessie and 2 children Beau and Evelyn.

Lavoris Mobley is a proud native of Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Samuel W. Wolfson High School in 2005, where he was an active member of both the boys’ basketball and football teams. During his senior year, he played a pivotal role in helping the football team reach the state playoffs for the first time in 25 years. In the fall of 2005, Coach Mobley received a full scholarship to play football at Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, North Carolina. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree, majoring in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Florida in 2012.
Following his graduation, Coach Mobley began his coaching career as a volunteer coach at the Williams Family YMCA. His passion for coaching led him to accept his first head coaching position at Mandarin Middle School in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2017. Coach Mobley currently serves as a physical education teacher at Mandarin Middle School. Over the years, Coach Mobley guided the Mandarin Middle Hawks to numerous achievements, including six Southern Division championships and consistent success in the middle school playoffs from 2017 to 2025.
After completing eight successful years as the head coach of the boys’ basketball team at Mandarin Middle, Coach Mobley is eager to embrace his new role leading the Lady Mustangs. He is now in his eighth year as a dedicated employee of the Duval County School Board. Coach Mobley is supported in his professional and personal life by his wife, Alexa Mobley, and their three daughters, Isabella, Annalise, and Miranda. His coaching philosophy is rooted in a commitment to excellence: “We must strive to be our B.E.S.T (Being Exceptionally Special Today) in all that we do, so that we may inspire others to do the same.” He also believes in the power of basketball as a tool for teaching life lessons and empowering young minds.
George McCleod was born in South Florida and raised at the Northern tip of Broward County in Deerfield Beach. He graduated from Deerfield Beach High School in 1995 where he was a member of the boys’ basketball team, the orchestra, and the jazz band. In the fall of 1995, he was awarded a scholarship to play basketball at the University of North Florida (UNF) under the direction of Coaches Rich Zvosec and Sidney Green. In 1999 George McCleod received his Bachelors of Arts and Science majoring in Criminology with a minor in Sociology. After graduating from U.N.F., Coach McCleod began his coaching career as a men’s assistant basketball coach at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Following his collegiate coaching career, he served as an assistant girls’ basketball coach at The Bolles School and Paxon School for Advanced Studies in Jacksonville, Florida for a total of five years. In the 2006-2007 school year he accepted his first head coaching position at Englewood High School in Jacksonville, Florida, where he also was a teacher of students with disabilities. In 2012 he led the team to its first regional playoff game in nearly 10 years. After 6 wonderful years at Englewood, Coach McCleod accepted the girls’ basketball head coaching position at Mandarin High School where he led the team to a second straight district championship and regional playoff appearance.
Coach McCleod is in his tenth season as Mandarin’s head boys’ basketball coach and is excited about the overall direction of the team, athletic department, and school. He led the Mustangs to its first back-to-back District Championships and two consecutive playoff appearance (2019 & 2020). He is currently in his 25th year as a Duval County School Board employee. He earned his Masters degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration at Concordia University at Irvine in August of 2016. He is supported in all of his endeavors by his lovely wife Shante’ McCleod and two beautiful children, Myiah and Dylan. Coach McCleod’s philosophy is simple. We must strive to be our B.E.S.T (Being Exceptionally Special Today) in all that we do so that we may positively influence others to do the same.
Valerie Fees is a graduate of Mandarin High School and a proud Mustang for life. Coach Fees has been coaching swimming since 2008. She started as an assistant coach at Mandarin Middle School. After a couple of years, she earned the head swim coach position, which she still holds. She coached both of her sons at the middle school level. She started as the Mandarin High head swim coach in the fall of 2022 and was able to coach her youngest son during his senior year along with many other athletes she previously coached in middle school. This year’s seniors may be the first class to have been with Coach Fees since 6th grade. Coach Fees also coaches a summer team. She loves swimming.
Coach Magnusson will enter his 3rd season leading the Mustang volleyball program with a 33-14 overall record and 2020 FHSAA 7A District 1 championship.
Coach Magnusson has extensive international coaching experience, primarily in his home country of Sweden, where he has coached professionally for over 9 years. He served as an assistant coach for Sweden’s Junior National team in 2017, earning a silver medal at the Northern European Volleyball u19 Championships in Kettering, England. From 2014-17, he was the head coach of the Women’s A-Team for the Gislaved Volleybollklub, which competed in the Elite Series. He began his coaching career with his home club, Ljungby Volleybollklubb in 2009, and led the club to their first international trip competing at the European Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia in 2018.
COACHING CAREERCoach Marc Sitowitz enters his 5th year as the Head Coach for the JV and Varsity Girls Weightlifting at Mandarin High School. Weightlifting is an individual sport, but a team can earn the recognition as a Team Champion. In the past 4 seasons, Coach Sitowitz has led the Mustangs to 3 Gateway Conference Team Championships and 2 District Team Championships. During his tenure, there were 11 lifters who advanced to the highest level and competed for Mandarin at the FHSAA Girls Weightlifting State Championships.
While the Girls Weightlifting program at Mandarin has always been strong, Coach Sitowitz has implemented several initiatives to improve the weight room, weightlifting equipment, training opportunities, and promotion of the sport at Mandarin and throughout the Gateway Conference teams. Coach Sitowitz has surrounded himself with passionate and knowledgeable coaching staff who have helped to elevate the girls’ preparation and performance.
Other teams have asked what the secret to Mandarin’s success is. The culture of the team is that everyone is responsible for sharing their knowledge, supporting teammates, and maintaining high expectations of effort/performance. Coach Sitowitz’ s philosophy is simple, “Life isn’t meant to be lived alone. Here’s our secret. Find what you love and find friends who love it just as much. Laugh together, dream together, and create together to make each other better. When it gets hard…. you will be able to get by with a little help from your friends.”
